Full Fat Biographical Shit
by Red

Werd. Here’s a bit about how we started.

Full Fat fans will be interested to know that the band actually sprung from some of my production - namely 3 tracks that make up the LO SPAZ TRILOGY (2004), which includes Baps, Super Nes, & Seen. Have a listen below to some clips:

BAPS
SUPER NES
SEEN

Any one who’s seen us live may notice that Full Fat plays versions of these tracks. These tunes are a piece of Full Fat history. They were the catalyst that started the 4 of us jamming.

Towards the end of November 2004, Mav, Pred, myself and Jesus (who was added cos of his nerd skills and synth setup) started jamming these 3 tunes. Even back then, we knew we wanted it to be pretty electronic, and it excited us to have an unusual setup with shit loads of wires, pedals, laptops, synths, and a turntable.

Started gigging fairly soon - too soon in some cases! But had some fun gigs in Nottingham (where I lived at the time), and at the Rhythm Factory and at Cargo in London, where this murderous version of Baps was recorded:

BAPS (live @ Cargo, March 2005)

With me living in Nottingham and all the guys in London, rehearsing was hard. But the few jams we did have were great since we started writing together as a band. The first tune we wrote together was SPACE BOUNCE (check it in the MEDIA section).

Since then I’ve moved to London, and we’re rehearsing regularly. We’ve gigged quite a bit. Did a wicked show at the Soul Cellar in Southampton, here’s a review and some pictures of the mayhem:

Since then, we've recorded 4 tunes at Antonio's in Dollis Hill - listen in the MEDIA section.
